Watch: Arcade Fire Play “Jam or Not a Jam” with Songs from B-52’s, The Weeknd, Bryan Adams and More
Arcade Fire’s Win Butler, Regine Chassagne and Tim Kingsbury sat down with CBC Music in Canada for an ol’ game of “Jam or Not a Jam?” featuring some old classics (and, jams) as well as some newer material in the pop world today.
Chassagne proved to be the most entertaining, reacting violently to the opening notes of Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk” and pretending to fall asleep as The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” droned on. All the while, Kingsbury looked on with some enjoyment until the beat of Ke-M Pa Sote “Boukman Eksperyans” came on, prompting a glowing reaction from the singer.
Butler played nice for the most part, touting Justin Bieber’s collaboration with Skrillex and Diplo as a jam and also telling stories about participating in a photo shoot with Bryan Adams and the punk nature of the B-52’s.
