Video Premiere: Fauntleroys “I’m In Love With Everything”

June 19, 2015

The Fauntleroys feature Alejandro Escovedo, Ivan Julian, Nicholas Tremulis and Linda Pitmon. Today we premiere their video for “I’m In Love With Everything” rom their Plowboy Records debut, Below the Pink Pony. Nicholas Tremulis tells Relix, “The original idea behind the video was to shoot ourselves singing the song in various locations and to superimpose our footage together in some way to tell the story. It was loose and needed a captain. Enter Austin Sley Julian a year later who’s music video work with Jim Jarmusch as well as other projects far exceeded any expectations we might have and turned a loose concept into his own revolutionary art. Good things come to those who wait! Ivan really took this by the reigns to get it finished. It should be included in the credits, however that the cameraman on Alejandro and my footage was shot by Dan Andries and the painting that surround us in the video are by Wesley Kimler.”

Ivan Julian adds, “My only contribution to the creative context was to find or take notice of interesting visual backdrops to use in the video. For instance, the train ‘vortex’ was something I had long noticed at this particular subway station when two trains leave at the same time. I always thought it would be great to shoot something there if we could get the timing right. I especially like the clip of the girl jumping rope. To me, it represents a kind of lost innocence and simplicity. We shot that in my living room.”
