Video Premiere: Empires “Shadowfaux”

This past fall, atmospheric Chicago indie quartet Empires released their latest studio album, Orphan. Today we premiere this live video for “Shadowfaux” (a song on Orphan), recorded at special live session. The group’s Mike Robinson tells Relix, “We put together a stripped down version of our set and Bob brought his upright bass in to change things up a bit. This was about as bare and unrehearsed as it could have been. Ryan (who shot the last couple videos) shot this in his friend’s apartment in Chicago. The main goal was to present the songs in a different manner than we’re used to.”
