In 2011, Jake Cinninger led the festivities at his holiday show alongside bandmate Brendan Bayliss for a special Christmas-themed spin on David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” and Marshall Tucker Band’s “Can’t You See.” As the holidays approach, lets revisit this lovely moment in holiday music history and remember to turn it on at your family gathering after grandma insists, after her eighth glass of egg nog, that it’s karaoke time. 

Cinninger and Bayliss reimagined the Bowie song with Santa-themed lyrics, and then Bayliss came in with the Marshall Tucker verse of “Santa please, Santa please” to the tune of “Can’t You See.” Cinninger summed it up well at the end when he said, “That was fun.
