This Minneapolis Record Store is Not a Fan of Ryan Adams

Everyone has their preference, I suppose. And this particular Minneapolis record store drew a line in the sand when it came to Ryan Adams, who was in town to perform at the Basilica Block Party.

Hi-Fi Records posted the above sign on their door banning Adams from the record store “unless he’s in a good mood.” Doing some pre-gig skateboarding around town, Adams wandered by the record store and snapped a photo of the notice. On stage, the singer-songwriter laughed it off and Jon Clifford, owner of the store, told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune that the note was all in good humor.

“I guess that leaves an in-store on the table for the next time he’s in town,” Clifford told the publication. He also noted that Adams probably showed up following the store’s closing that day and that he would’ve loved to have him in the store.
