The Smiths’ Johnny Marr and Andy Rourke Reunite in NYC

The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr surprised the crowd at NYC’s Webster Hall last night when he invited former Smiths bandmate Andy Rourke on stage for a performance of “Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want.” The duo also recently reunited in Brooklyn where they performed “How Soon Is Now?” Marr and Rourke are longtime friends, first playing together when Marr was 15.
Johnny Marr also performed on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, performing “Generate! Generate!” from his latest solo effort, The Messenger. Watch both performances below.
