The New Mastersounds and John “Papa” Gros at Brooklyn Bowl (A Gallery)

The New Mastersounds played two nights at Brooklyn Bowl this weekend, with opening act John “Papa” Gros, who just recently reunited his Papa Grow Funk band for a post-Jazz Fest show in New Orleans. The weekend of funk also featured special guest horn players Greg Sanderson and Chris Brouwers from Turkuaz, who both sat in with the headlining act.
