Keyboard virtuoso George Duke passed away yesterday. Here are two fine moments from his wide-spanning career: a performance of “Cosmik Debris” back when he was a member of Frank Zappa’s band, followed by a set from the Billy Cobham – George Duke Band at the 1976 Montreux Jazz Festival with John Scofield and Alphonso Johnson.
