The latest album from Sean Watkins (Nickel Creek, Watkins Family Hour) will be released on March 18. What To Fear is the follow-up to 2014’s well-received All I Do Is Lie. Today we premiere “Local Honey” from the forthcoming record, which is available for pre-order via iTunes and Amazon. Sean’s longtime bandmate, sister Sara Watkins, joins him on fiddle for this track. He tells Relix, “I grew up playing fiddle tunes. I cut my musical teeth learning the melodies and then figuring out how to solo over the chord changes. I wrote this song a couple years ago, while thinking back on those days and hearing those tunes for the first time. It doesn’t follow the traditional form of those older tunes but it has the same upbeat and happy feel.”
