Texas-based singer-songwriter Israel Nash will release his new album Lifted on July 27, and today we premiere a new single from the effort, “Lucky Ones.” 

Nash explains the back-to-nature impetus for the track, telling Relix, “I think if you live in the woods for a while and learn to get still, you realize that you’re connected to everything. That’s what this song is for me, a gift of peace I received from seeing that connection and feeling it through my family by living out in these Texas woods and hills.”

The musician also shares a apropos quote from writer and philosopher Alan Watts: “But I’ll tell you what hermits realize. If you go off into a far, far forest and get very quiet, you’ll come to understand that you’re connected with everything.”
