Fruition‘s latest studio album will be released on April 22 via Randm Records. The Portland, Or-based quintet self-produced Labor of Love, the follow-up to 2013’s Just One of Them Nights, while Justin Phelps (Amanda Palmer, Jolie Holland, Chuck Prophet) engineered the sessions. Today we premiere “Santa Fe” from the forthcoming record. The group’s Mimi Naja tells Relix, “”Santa Fe” was a fun song to put together because it transformed immensely. I wrote it in classic singer/songwriter fashion – mellow acoustic guitar strumming. I then said, ‘what would the Alabama Shakes do to this?’ That’s when the signature electric riff was born and it became a whole new beast.”  The group’s upcoming tour dates appear below the stream.
