The Ries Brothers continue to build a national audience for their captivating live performances and swelling catalog of original music, which incorporates elements of rock, blues, funk, and reggae. The Tampa Bay, FL-based duo features older brother Charlie on lead vocals, drums and keyboard bass while younger sibling Kevin Jordan appears on guitar and background vocals. Today we premiere “Voodoo,” from their forthcoming live album. An Intimate Evening in New York: The Ries Brothers (Live at the Iridium). The explosive seven-and-a-half minutes of “Voodoo” closed out the Iridium performance recorded for the new release.  The Ries Brothers tell Relix, “We hoped for it to be a powerful song written about the ‘supernatural powers’ one person can possess over another, which leaves them unable to comprehend what is happening to them. We have ended our shows with this song for a while now, and fans have been asking for an updated live version so we are very proud to present, ‘Voodoo: Live in New York.’”
