Scott Sharrard & Friends Celebrate ‘At Fillmore East’ at Brooklyn Bowl (A Gallery)

On Wednesday evening, guitarist and former Gregg Allman Band musical director Scott Sharrard led a group of friends in a celebration of the Allman Brothers Band landmark live album At Fillmore East, which was recorded on the same date in 1971. Along with Sharrard, the band featured founding ABB drummer Jaimoe, another former Gregg Allman collaborator in keyboardist Peter Levin, guitarist Tash Neal, Dopapod’s Rob Compa, and surprise special guests Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires. Marc Millman and Ken Spielman shared some photos, plus a video clip of Isbell’s solo on “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed.”
