New best friends Taylor Swift and Ryan Adams sat down for an interview as a part of Swift’s GQ cover story, with Adams asking the questions. The two dig into some of Swift’s songs on her 1989 record that Adams just covered, including “All You Had to Do Was Stay,” which Swift praised Adams for reinterpreting the tune. “You know when actors say a line but say it with different emphasis on different words and completely change it? That’s what you did with my album,” she said, with a hair flip for good measure. 

The two also bond over Siri, the digital human living inside of your iPhone. “She’s never there for us when we need her,” Swift says. Expect a new song about Siri’s breakup with Swift, coming in 2016. There is also some Smiths talk, making this a beautiful meeting of three generations.
