Rock on the Range’s Tribute to Chris Cornell Will Make You Emotional All Over Again
Rock on the Range was supposed to be headlined by Soundgarden as the band topped the Columbus, OH festival’s lineup. The festival promised to honor the late Chris Cornell and did they ever, with a chilling video set to Cornell’s haunting vocals to “Black Hole Sun.”
The video (below) showcases the beauty, power and haunting grace of the legendary frontman as the isolated vocals to one of rock and roll’s anthems set to live footage of Cornell in action is as powerful a tribute as you could imagine.
Also at the festival, acts like Slipknot, Stone Sour and Bush all honored Cornell with covers of his songs including Bush mashing up “Black Hole Sun” with R.E.M.’s “The One I Love.”
