Perpetual Groove released their last studio LP back in 2009, and today we’re premiering a brand-new single from the Athens, GA-based band, “Upswing,” along with an accompanying video, a new venture for the veteran outfit.

“Sometimes a video can bring a new emotional context to a song,” PGroove explains to Relix. “This is especially true when you’ve only thought about the audio experience and the emotional space that fills for well over a year while in the studio with the song. This was also our first stab at a video of any sort. So, we landed on the idea of making a lyric video at Adam’s house using his projector. There are some obvious videos that we pay homage to and it was a really great experience for the three of us to get out of our normal creative space with each other to make the ‘Upswing’ video.”
