Paul McCartney Joins Bruce Springsteen in London

July 15, 2012

Organizers of London’s Hard Rock Calling festival cut short a legendary collaboration last night between Sir Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen, over fears of defying the sound curfew at London’s Hyde Park. Springsteen invited McCartney to the stage at the tail end of his set for a pair of Beatles classics, “I Saw Her Standing There” and “Twist and Shout,” however the historical moment ended abruptly when their microphones were silenced before the latter song was finished.
