My Morning Jacket Catch the Pokemon GO Fever….Sort Of

My Morning Jacket is apparently all about the newest Pokemon GO phenomenon, or at least one of the band members has caught the fever that has gone viral all over the world.

To catch you up on Pokemon GO, it is essentially a location-based reality game of Pokemon that allows players to capture, battle and train virtual Pokemon who appear throughout the real world. For example, if you’re on the app while walking down a street, you’ll see a Pokemon appear in the bushes or next to the fire hydrant, etc. People are literally getting hit by cars while playing this game. It’s madness.

A humorous post on the band’s Facebook page with an unidentified pair of ankles (Jim James normally posts photos to the page unless otherwise noted) is accompanied by the caption, “I found Pikachu on my rug without an app,” of course referring to the cute little yellow Pokemon.
