Listen to Deva Mahal’s Debut EP (and Enter Pre-Save Contest)

October 26, 2017

Deva Mahal’s self-titled EP will be released tomorrow, via Motéma Music. The album, which was produced by Scott Jacoby (Vampire Weekend, José James, Coldplay) and Jarrett Wetherell precedes her first full-length record, set to follow in 2018. Deva, who is the daughter of Taj Mahal, has written music with her father over the years and also has worked with artists such as TV on the Radio, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, and Fat Freddy’s Drop. As the absorbing new EP demonstrates, she draws on a blues palette for her indie R&B sound.

Today we are sharing the premiere stream of Deva Mahal, on the final day of a contest in which anyone who pre-saves the EP will have a chance to win $120 in Spotify gift cards and a JBL Bluetooth speaker–click here for additional details.
