Killer Mike Praises Allman Brothers, Zeppelin and More on Twitter
Killer Mike, half of the New York City rap duo Run the Jewels, is a fine artist in his own right, but he might excel even more in the Twittersphere. Today, Mike held a Q&A that can hardly be called impromptu, as he engages fans often on both music and social issues (if you haven’t seen Render on Tavis Smiley, you’re missing out), and dished on some of his favorite non-hip hop musical acts including the Allman Brothers, Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, Led Zeppelin and more.
It’s no surprise the Atlanta, GA native would have caught the Allman bug early on, along with Skynyrd, both staples in the South. He also namechecks the first four Zeppelin albums as his favorite among the band’s catalog. Take a look at the tweets below.
Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, are a few RT @stl_bob: @KillerMike Do you have any favorite non-hip hop musical artists?

This isn’t the first time Killer Mike has mentioned the ABB, as he noted that him and his wife celebrated Christmas with some B.B. King and some Allman Brothers. A true Southern home.
My wife playing BB King and I’m playing Allman Brothers. This is truly a southern home. Happy Holidaze to all.
