John Mayer Joins the House Band at the Emmys, Hangs with ‘Stranger Things’ Cast and Has an Overall Incredible Time
If you watched the Emmys last night, you probably noticed a familiar face appearing on the broadcast (to go along with all of the other very familiar faces if you own a television) playing with the house band: John Mayer. While the house band certainly isn’t the focal point of the show, it was Mayer joining fellow John Mayer Trio bandmate Steve Jordan and others in the band as they soundtracked the broadcast.
“These are all great musicians,” host Jimmy Kimmel said as he introduced the band. “And we rewarded them by putting them in a hole.”
Forget about the guitar portion of the evening, Mayer clearly had a grand ol’ time in Hollywood last night, rubbing elbows with the likes of Saturday Night Live‘s hilarious Leslie Jones, and best of all, got some time in with the cast of Stranger Things.
