The Instruments A Comin’ benefit is the annual event at Tipitina’s in New Orleans which raises money for instruments for local schools with marching mands. The event also features new inductions into the Tip’s Walk of Fame and this year New Orleans legend Deacon John was honored in the outside ceremony. Prior to his induction speech Deacon John opened the night by singing the Star Spangled Banner and followed the speech with his version of Many Rivers to Cross. Inside Walter Wolfman Washington with special guest John Gros opened the night followed by Galactic with special guests Anders Osborne & Billy Iuso. Other sets included The New Orleans Suspects, Dumpstaphunk, Bonerama, Big Sam and more.
