A few weeks ago, the Oklahoma City Thunder traveled to Los Angeles to face off against the rotting corpse of Kobe Bryant and the rest of the Lakers who you cannot name outside of D’Angelo Russell. Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook, known across the league for his interesting pre-game wardrobe, showed up to the arena in a fucking SLAYER shirt. While not nearly close to his most outlandish selections, definitely one that struck a chord with ESPN’s John Clayton, who did a hilarious “This is Sportscenter” commercial a few years back as a blogger who doubled as a mega Slayer fan. 

With that, Clayton reprised his famed character on Sportscenter last night to finally settle who wore it better. Clayton was gracious, nodding to Russ by saying, “When you have to work that hard and to give appreciation to Slayer, I’ve got to give it to Russell. So keep shooting those shots and keep the fashion going.” Russ went for a cool 27 last night in OKC’s win, so he’s clearly taking Clayton’s advice.
