Foo Fighters Serenade Italian Fans Who Recorded Viral “Learn to Fly” Video

Earlier this summer, 1,000 fans in Italy came together to record the biggest “Learn to Fly” superjam ever in hopes of bringing Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters to their town. Surely enough, the band obliged shortly after the video went completely viral, revealing they’d play Cesena, Italy on November 3, which if you are new to calendars, was last night.

Appropriately, the group came out and opened with “Learn to Fly” much to the delight of the crowd in attendance. Later in the show, Grohl would comment that the band “couldn’t say no” to playing for the Italian faithful after seeing the video. He also took a loose poll of how many were in attendance were a part of the video, with many agreeing. “Thanks to the musicians here tonight,” Grohl said before continuing the show.
