Deer Creek Rebrands As Worst Venue Name You’ve Ever Heard and Will Never Use Anyway
It’ll always be Deer Creek, I don’t care what any billboard outside says.
It’ll especially always be Deer Creek with the newly announced rebranding of the Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center. Now, first of all I’m not 100% on how to pronounce “Ruoff” but even if I were, there is no way this name will ever replace Deer Creek. I thought Tampa’s 1-800-ASK-Gary Amphitheatre was the worst (Jiffy Lube Live is also up there) but nothing sounds less appetizing than a night out at the Home Mortgage Center.
From the looks of it, Ruoff is a local Fort Wayne, IN company that dabbles in home mortgages. It’s great that Deer Creek is incorporating local businesses into their amphitheatre (Lord knows we don’t need another Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre) but the reality is, nothing will pull the Deer Creek memories into irrelevance. Let’s revisit one of those below.
