Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear Stage a Nirvana Reunion at Foo Fighters Show

December 7, 2017

Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic reunited with his old Nirvana bandmates Dave Grohl and Pat Smear at the Foo Fighters’ Eugene, OR show where the band welcomed the bassist for one of the Foos’ original tunes “Big Me.”

“Big Me” appeared on the Foo Fighters’ first output as Dave Grohl went into the studio following the death of Kurt Cobain to begin to piece together his next musical chapter. On the self-titled release, “Big Me” was joined by “This is a Call,” “I’ll Stick Around” and “For all the Cows,” all of which became standards in the Foos’ repertoire.

Last night on stage, Grohl revealed that Novoselic actually played bass on the original cut of “Big Me” (it was previously accepted that Grohl played a majority of the instruments on the album) before playing the song with his old bandmate.
