The BRIT Awards paid tribute to David Bowie last night with the help of members of Bowie’s backing band along with Lorde, who returned to the stage to lead the group through “Life on Mars?” after the band riffed through some of Bowie’s biggest hits. 

All in all, a tribute that can sit right up there with the Grammys’ Lady Gaga extravaganza as Lorde took the lead on vocals with confidence. “I was so nervous in the wings, and then I whispered to myself “just sing it to David”, and nothing else mattered,” the New Zealand singer tweeted.
