Today, Bob Weir turns 70 and John Mayer turns 40 and the two bandmates wished each other a happy birthday in a pair of adorable Instagram posts. 

“You keep telling your tales, we’ll keep pulling up chairs,” Mayer wrote to Weir on his Instagram account along with a photo of the two sitting for an early Dead & Company interview. Mayer (who is celebrating his birthday in Brazil with Andy Cohen and Bob Saget) seemed to have a great birthday week, also gifting himself with a six-figure Dude of Life chain.

“Sending the warmest of birthday wishes to a monster of a musician and true friend,” Weir wrote to the guitarist thirty years his junior also noting his excitement for the upcoming fall tour, which kicks off November 12.
