Bill Walton Educated You on the Many Bridges Both Human and Structural During Broadcast

November 27, 2017

Let’s set the stage for our first golden rant of the young college basketball season by our favorite Bill Walton. Here’s Bill calling the game between North Carolina and Michigan State over the weekend as a part of the PK80 tournament honoring Phil Knight’s 80th birthday. Michigan State’s best player is named Miles Bridges, and that’s where Bill takes over.

“Miles Bridges….,” Walton began. “Who is not, I’m told, related to Lloyd, or Beau, or Bill, The Bridge School, The Bridge School Benefit Concert, the St. Johns Bridge or the Golden Gate Bridge.”

He continued, “I love bridges. It’s really the ultimate tool.”

The play by play announcer tried to steer the conversation back to Portland but that was like throwing a pebble at a freight train. Walton was already in full bloom, ready to drop more bridge knowledge as the Tar Heels went out on the fast break.
