Arcade Fire are never ones to underdeliver when it comes to an extravagantly weird live show. On their current Everything Now tour, or at least during last night’s show in York, England, the band is being introduced like a couple of heavyweight fighters, stopping short of having Michael Buffer scream “LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE.” 

Compared to the scary glass man the band employed during their Reflektor tour, this is a much better way to get a crowd hyped up for a show. Nothing gets the adrenaline pumping like someone screaming “UNDISPUTED HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD” into a microphone as they introduce someone else. The band also added a couple of other accolades onto their introduction as well including “one shocking Oscar loss” referencing their nomination for the score of Her.
