Cascade Crescendo is a high-energy bluegrass, jamgrass and Americana band hailing from Portland, Oregon. The group formed in 2013 with original members Hunter White (lead vocals, guitar), Taylor Skiles (upright bass) and Aden Beck (mandolin, vocals). Duluth, Minnesota’s native son Harrison Olk (banjo, vocals) joined the band in 2015. The group toured throughout the United States in 2017 and 2018, expanding their fan base well beyond their Pacific Northwest home. “Every Little Thing” includes a guest appearance by Anders Beck from Greensky Bluegrass.

Shea Abshier and the Nighthowlers formed in Texas in spring 2017 taking the reins in a region steeped in accomplishment. The band’s sophomore album, Turning Point, is set to be released early 2019. The album is a sampling from the diverse melting pot that is Texas music with an unshakable rock n’ roll foundation. The album’s first single is titled “Hot Mess.”

While his latest album doesn’t necessarily sound like a Darkside record, it exists at a different axis in the same continuum.
